After a very successful year the 2007 field season in Kluane has now drawn to a close. While some graduate students and their crews remain in camp to examine fall food hoarding behavior, most of the core data collection crew have now headed back home. Many thanks to all of the people who helped to make this another excellent field season. We look forward to doing it all again and to learning many more things again next year.

In late July, Barb Ustina and Paul Neal were in Squirrel Camp collecting some footage for a series that will run on Daily Planet on the Discovery Channel in September. They were treated to a traditional Squirrel Camp lunch, complete with the chaos of 17 people trying to cook, eat and get back to work, as well as a very healthy population of mosquitoes! We made it through some rough weather but managed to show them a few neat things about the squirrels and how we study them. It was great to have them in camp and we look forward to seeing the final product!
